STRING MAKING with Beth Wiley


Friday 5 October – 11.00–12.30pm & 1.00–2.30pm ($10 each – 1.5hr workshop)


Join Beth Wiley for an introduction to natural fibre basketry and learn the basics of 2-ply string making to make your very own natural fibre basket. Beth will explain the different fibres which can be used and how to incorporate more materials into your own basketry. A fun and hands-on workshop!

LEGO ANIMATION with Gooroo Animation


Monday 8 October – 12.30 – 3.30pm ($25 each – 3 hour workshop)


Join Gooroo Animation for an action packed workshop and learn how to create your own Lego animation movie. The workshop is designed to inspire and provide the knowledge and tools to start making movies at home. To book go to www.trybooking.com/YCXM



CLAYMATION with Gooroo Animation


Tuesday 9 October – 10.00 – 1.00pm ($25 each – 3 hour workshop)


The GooRoo Animation introductory workshop teaches students how to create their own claymation movies. The participants will create their own plasticine characters and learn how to bring them to life using the Stop Motion Studio App available on mobile devices such as iPads. DRAWING FROM THE NATURAL WORLD with Deb Twining


Thursday 11 October – 10.00 – 11.00am ($10 each – 1 hour workshop)


Using a range of papers and drawing media, explore the many ways the natural world can be interpreted through drawing. Using real drawings props of taxidermied animals, skeletons, insects, and botanical items, this is a experimental and fun workshop.

ABSTRACT PAINTING/DRAWING with Deb Twining


Thursday 11 October – 12.00pm-3pm ($40 each – 3 hour workshop)


A fun workshop for kids making abstract paintings easy. This is an experimental approach to painting and drawing creating freely wandering lines, blocked in colour and the building up of flow and texture. All from using street maps and an overhead projector as our starting point.
